CONQUERING DEPRESSION

Seasons greetings! Merry Christmas! and Happy Holidays! are just a few of the statements or phrases you hear around this time of the year. However it is also during this time that a lot of people are dealing with depression and often times feel like giving up.Depression is literally a condition of being "pressed down" to a lower position (as in a footprint)
The human heart can be pressed down due to normal pressure from normal situations. But here is the question you must ask yourself. Will you break or will you BOUNCE back?
In Luke 21:34 Jesus cautions us to "be careful, or your hearts will be weighed down with dissipation, drunkenness and the anxieties of life, and day will close on you unexpected like a trap." So be encouraged this day that greater is He that is in you than he that is in the world and know that you have been given a name that is above the name depression. At the name of Jesus, depression has to bow its knee under you. You will not be pressed down. You will press down depression!
